My music begins with a concept: a psychological process, a human experience or an invisible force acting upon us. Working within a modern classical language, I explore it through melody, texture, rhythm and space. Some pieces develop as instrumental narratives; others remain with a single state or question. Rather than illustrating a fixed meaning, each creates an emotional space in which the listener can recognise something human.
